Parent Involvement

Families Welcome

Honey Tree welcomes the involvement of our Honey Tree families. In addition to our Parent Participating /2’s class, we encourage all families to become active members of our Honey Tree community. Throughout the year there are many opportunities for families to take part in our program. School family events usually include:

  • Open House
  • Halloween Parade
  • Science Night
  • Creativity Night
  • Singing Programs in December and June

Honey Tree families are also invited and welcome to participate in Holy Trinity’s children’s ministry activities.

Parents may visit our school for observation, participation, and to volunteer. Parents can help in the classroom with special activities and centers, prepare materials for the classroom, provide snacks, or share a special hobby, talent or profession with the children. Parents should contact their child’s teacher to make arrangements to assist in the classroom.

Communication

Communication with our families is very important at Honey Tree. We maintain active communication with our families through the following channels of communication:

  • Honey Tree website
  • Honey Buzz newsletter
  • Honey Tree letters and notices (email or sent home via children’s cubbies or Honey Tree tote bags)
  • Parent Information boards (posted outside of each classroom and Honey Tree office)
  • Parent conferences in the fall and spring (or as additionally needed)
  • Observations and evaluations of child’s progress in the spring
  • Remind App with class updates, photos, or weekly lesson plan from your child's teacher
